Dot Tourism were asked to develop an email marketing strategy for Colorado Tourism aimed at UK consumers to promote Colorado as a holiday destination. We were asked to re-design their regular email newsletter to create something that was functional but distinctive.
We designed an email template with the focus on a strong call to action and striking visual. We planned the design so that it could change to reflect the seasons, keeping the appearance and impact of the email fresh and current. We were able to make use of strong stock imagery to create attention grabbing headers.
We managed the broadcast and used split testing techniques on the subject lines to increase open rates by up to 190%.
As a result of the success we were commissioned to design additional emails for Colorado Tourism to promote their travel brochure to databases of competition entrants, achieving an open rate of over 40%.
